Our busy press office handles upwards of 2,000 media enquiries a year from local, regional and national media. We work to provide regular, factual, objective, honest and open information about Yorkshire Ambulance Service as well as promoting the achievements of our staff.

The press office is staffed from 9am until 5pm, Monday to Friday. Outside of office hours, you will hear a recorded message with the details of the on-call press officer. Please note that the on-call press officer should only be contacted regarding urgent, on-going, major incidents. For all other media enquiries out of hours, please send an email to email@example.com and the team will respond on the next working day.
Incident information which we can provide
During office hours, we are able to supply information about public incidents if you can provide the following details:
- Nature of incident (eg road traffic collision)
- Date and time of incident
- Location of incident
Please bear in mind that we are bound by strict patient confidentiality rules and we therefore cannot provide the following information:
- Patient names
- Details relating to a patient treated at a private address
- Condition checks for patients admitted to hospital
Please note that incidents involving fatalities can only be confirmed by police.
